Gentle Flow
“Easy does it” classes are ideal for anyone; especially beginners who wants a slow-paced class. If you are recovering from an injury, have a chronic condition such as osteoporosis, arthritis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome or multiple sclerosis, or are limited in practically any other way, our Gentle Flow or Intro to Yoga classes are for you.
Vinyasa Flow
This is a dynamic style of yoga, it is all about precision amidst movement and ease amidst flow. Vinyasa Yoga detoxifies, heals,
and electrifies. This accessible, challenging, and flowing form of yoga will lead you to a state of transformation -- it will sculpt, tone and hone the muscles of your body and your mind. Here we move steadily from pose to pose in coordination with the breath gradually building deeper internal warmth as we explore a variety of Sun Salutations, Standing Poses, Core Integration practices, Arm Balances, Backbends, Twists, Forward Bends, Hip Openers and Inversions. Usually set to lively yet soothing background music, these classes offer a vigorous yet sustainable approach to Hatha yoga in which every part of the body is awakened, purified, toned and brought into greater balance while mentally creating internal awareness, stress relief and an enjoyment of your practice. Put differently, this approach integrates the best that Ashtanga, Vinaysa, and Iyengar have to offer.
Power Series (Power Vinyasa, Power Core, Power Yin)
Power Series classes are strong and you should expect to sweat while strengthening arms, shoulders, legs & core as well as
working on your flexibility and getting your heart rate up. Classes offer a great workout for your body while allowing your mind to unwind as you connect and flow with your breath. The Power Series classes are a blend of modern day and traditional yoga. You will be guided through a challenging but safe practice adapted for our “Western bodies” while being inspired by philosophy from the teachings of our gurus! Power yoga is the beginning of a journey into a powerful life!
Yin Yoga Nidra
A calm yet challenging class for all levels. Yin postures are done with the muscles relaxed and are held between 3-5 minutes per posture. When we move through the muscle into the connective tissue we can hit the meridians of acupuncture currents allowing for major release, both physically and emotionally. Yin yoga addresses the deeper spiritual dimensions of yoga. You will leave class feeling grounded, rejuvenated, and nourished.
Prenatal Yoga
Prepare your mind, body and spirit for labor and delivery with a class to help expectant mothers deepen their experience and enjoyment of pregnancy. Yoga Class includes yoga postures (asana) to relieve the common discomforts of pregnancy; relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to ease fear and anxiety; abdominal and pelvic floor toning to enhance postnatal recovery. This class is beneficial at any time during pregnancy.
Flow and Hold
Much like a Vinyasa class, Flow & Hold aligns breath and movement to build heat and detox the body through a series of poses. As we work into our peak poses, we'll hold them to allow for alignment corrections, and to build stamina of the body and the breath in the pose. This is an all levels class, offering various kramas (stages) of the poses to make them accessible to all students.
Hot Buddhi Yoga
Shake, shimmy and sweat the week out of your Shakti in this yoga class! End your weekend off by coming to your mat to practice the art of living with a playful exploration of the body and breath. This class is a perfect combination of intense high cardio, strength training, dance and yoga asana. We will dive into all the corners of the body and spirit to wring out what's no longer serving you and create new space to fill with joy. A truly liberating practice followed by blissful meditation. All levels welcome. Come prepared to laugh and let loose. Sunday nights have never been this fun! Warning this class has very loud hip hop music- not suitable for everyone.
