Yoga started out as a way to stay physically active and healthy for Elysa, but like many she quickly found that yoga is not only a great practice for the body but also the mind and spirit. Through pranayama, asana, and meditation, stillness of the mind and a connection to universal consciousness can be cultivated.
Yoga’s transformative powers on and off the mat inspired her to study at the Association for Yoga and Meditation in Rishikesh, India where she received her RYT-200. She believes that through yoga the chatter of our busy lives can be quieted, compassion nurtured internally can be shared outwardly, and life’s challenges can be balanced through our connection to breath. She is excited to share the gift of yoga with all of her students through fun, challenging and, most importantly, holistic classes.
