Growing up in Michigan, Katie spent the majority of her childhood in dance studios and sports practices. During her college years she stayed fit, however there was a void in her life where the creative mindful movement of dance had been. She moved to Hawaii in 2008 and shortly after started taking yoga classes to help balance the stress of being a student and working full time. Yoga reintroduced the love of movement into her life, and not only brings stillness, focus, and determination, but also helps to maintain the strength and flexibility needed to train as an aerialist.
After attending a yoga retreat in October 2013, Katie knew that yoga had become an integral part of her being. She recently completed her RYT-200 training with Yoga Loft Hawaii in May 2014, and looks forward to
sharing her light and knowledge with her students.
