Melissa was born and raised in Bedford Hills, New York. She began consistently practicing yoga in 2006 and then became heavily immersed in her practice while living in Boulder, Colorado. Yoga ignited her health and liveliness and radiated positivity throughout her life. She moved to Hawaii where she completed a 200 Hatha based yoga training. In her own practice, Melissa enjoys the balance between practicing lively, vinyasa style yoga as well as the more disciplined Ashtanga method. Melissa teaches with the intention of empowering her students to use the breath and its connection with the self to build strength and flexibility both in the body and mind.
