Sarah Prior came to yoga during her time at Georgetown University when she began attending classes with a friend. It was through that class’s instructor that Sarah’s interest in yoga, meditation, and ayurveda grew.
While living at Fort Rucker, Alabama where her husband attended Flight School, Sarah became more interested in fitness and became a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer. When her husband was assigned Wheeler Army Airfield for their next duty station, she immediately began looking for yoga studios in the area and enrolled in Hawaii School of Yoga. She completed her 200-hour Hatha and Tantra Teacher Training in 2015 and is currently working towards her 500-hour certification.
Sarah’s classes focus on finding stillness and ease through the breath, as well as themes for personal reflection through the practice based on quotes and readings that are shared at the beginning and end of class.
