September 8, 2018 – Dec 16, 2018

200 Hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Program

with Yoga Loft Hawaii + Hawaii School of Yoga

If you are seeking a strong foundation in the Heart of Yoga, and want to be a versatile
and authentic Yoga Teacher, able to teach Yoga to ANYbody, then this Training is for you.

Tell me about this training program

This Yoga Teacher Training will give you the tools to teach multi-styles of Yoga, with a strong foundation on Hatha, Vinyasa and Tantra.

Hatha is the umbrella term for all physical yoga practices, and all styles of yoga are part of “Hatha” (including Ashtanga, Power, Kriya, Kundalini, Vinyasa, etc…). Is is useful relate the terms “Hatha Yoga” and “Martial Arts” which refers to the different fighting styles such as Karate, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, etc…

Vinyasa is an aspect of Hatha Yoga that refers to the intelligent sequencing of postures with breath but also the stages of the postures from easy to difficult. In the West it denotes a flowing style of practice, but the term has a much broader meaning that we will learn to embody during this training.

Tantra means to “to expand or increase” and refers to the spiritual teachings, rituals and practices that form the roots of the Indian Spiritual Traditions. Tantra gives us the tools to work directly with spirit. The physical benefits of Yoga are well known in the West, but in the East these are a by-product of the deeper spiritual practices that involve self-inquiry, contemplation, meditation, mantra, living in harmony with the natural laws of existence and fully embracing all aspects of life (including sexuality).

Students of this course will learn practical tools for training not just the body, but also the mind and spirit, which are the three subjects of Traditional Yoga.

At Hawaii school of Yoga we train you to teach live classes under our apprenticeship program, wherein a trainee assists in teaching a real class with one of our Lead Trainers. In this module we discuss the art of effective communication and cuing by helping you develop a rich and precise yogic vocabulary.
